What is Paintless Dent Removal?
Paintless Dent Repair, also known as PDR and paintless dent removal, is a relatively new process for removing most minor, and even some major dents that, without repainting the vehicle and removing the factory finish. This is done by slowly massaging the dent from the back of the panel, with specialized tools and skilled hands.
How do I receive and estimate for a repair?
First, you call or email us. With today’s technology so abundantly available at our finger tips, we ask you send a pic to phone (973) 294-8567 or email them to Knockoutdents@gmail.com. At this point, we can determine if the damage is repairable using the PDR process and how much it will cost. A questionnaire is also available on this site.
How long do repairs normally take?
Simple repairs are normally done in less than an hour; However, we like to dedicate three hours to a repair in our scheduling. Hail, acorn, and complex damage repair times will be given at the time of estimate. We like to dedicate a day to hail. Extreme cases may take more than one day.
Where are you located?
It doesn’t matter. If you live within 1.5 hours of NYC, give us a call and we’ll come to you.
How far in advance do we need to schedule for a repair?
Same day repairs from the point of our initial conversation are available. Typically, there is a 36 hour turn around for our clients. Just tell us what you’d like, we’re cool.
What form of payment do you accept.
We accept cash, personal checks and silver, gold and platinum bars. Oh, and you can pay in pre 2009 nickels.
Does pdr work for every dent?
The answer is no. There are limitations when you are putting the metal back where it belongs. Some impact expands the metal thus making it difficult to obtain a perfect repair. Our advice is if there is not a collision involving two moving vehicles, call us first so we can advise you what to do.
How much does a repair cost.
This is a gray area. I can say the average repair cost is between 100 and 150 excluding multiple panels and hail/acorn damage.
