I’m Running a PDR Pricing Special

I’m going to be running a PDR pricing special from now until I delete this blog post.  As the three people who read this blog now know, (It was four but my mom got bored with it), Paintless Dent Repair is the much preferred method of repairing any small dings, dents, creases, outies, acorn and hail damage. The price saving’s if you find car or truck’s damage a lucky candidate for PDR are really significant when compared to the price of conventional body repair. However, there is a gray area for retail pricing.  As the boundaries of Paintless Dent Repair expand, how do we as PDR professionals price the damage.  There is no industry guide so we put a fair market value on the repair based on our experience.  Most PDR companies have a minimum price that they charge and there is nothing that I can do about this.  It has to be worth my driving time and expenses to to go to a location as I am a completely mobile service. The good news is that I’ve downsized to a smaller car that gets great gas mileage; Therefore, I can pass these savings on to you on the maximum price end.  Let’s face it, the majority of call or emails I receive are not minimum damage.  They are from people trying to use us a first resort before taking their cars to a collision shop.  Some inquiries are even from people who have already had estimates done at a body shop.  My offer will save these people a ton of money if their damage is repairable.  So here it is… When I deem your damage repairable using my Paintless Dent Repair process, the price shall not exceed $150 per panel. This offer excludes hail and acorn like damage that has more than 10 dents.  If you have hail or acorn like damage, you can chose 10 and I’ll fix them for 150.  Anymore than that, and I’ll use an insurance approved price matrix for the repair.  If you have a New York City car with 20 door dings per panel, I will have to give you a proper estimate.  Everyone else, which is 95% of my clients, enjoy the savings.  They are real and they are plentiful. If you have a basketball size dent that is repairable using PDR, I’ll fix it for no more than $150. If you have a 15 inch crease that I deem repairable using PDR, than I’ll charge you $150. Thanks.

Knockout Dent Removal LLC

As you can see by the title of this blog, It indicates that I may know something about Knockout Dent Removal Brand Paintless Dent Repair.  I’ve been a LLC in the lovely state of New Jersey for some time.  For the most part, I’ve heard of the other PDR companies in the area that matter.  I constantly surf the web looking paintless dent repair action, news, companies, and trends.  In my continuous searching for the last 8 years in this area, I’ve noticed many PDR companies who make this NY metro area their home.  However, I’ve never seen another Knockout company.  In addition, I’ve made it my business to show up online which has me researching every keyword in my industry and area. My name is Knockout Dent Removal LLC Paintless Dent Repair.  As I’m driving down the Garden State Parkway yesterday, I was sick and alarmed to see a car pass me with the name Knockout Dents Paintless Dent Repair. WTF.  How does this happen?  If he ever typed those words anywhere on a computer and hit enter, he would of seen ME.  I’ve worked really hard on making the name Knockout mean something special in our world of PDR and this makes me nauseous.

Car Wash PDR

I received a call from a guy who washes cars the other day.  I apologize…a detailer.  Anyway.  He wanted to know if I could service his shop with my superior talents in Paintless Dent Repair (PDR). He said his car wash shop generated PDR work every other day.  I received the call around 9am and stupidly told him I’d be there around 12-1PM.  At 12PM,  I called him to tell him that I would have to reschedule our first meeting until later on in the day or even the next day due to one of my car lots strapping me with some really difficult repairs.  He called back to tell me that he could tell it wasn’t going to work out between us, stating concerns about my schedule, and broke up with me before he ever saw what I was capable of.  I love this kind of stuff.  It sends my mind into a whirlwind.  This auto sponge bather clearly doesn’t know the skill involved in the art of PDR.  The fact that a technician of my level was prepared to go to his unproven shop for a free estimate with the bullshit guarantee of future riches on the same day he called, only to be told that I didn’t jump fast enough, makes me laugh.  I told him I’d pass his great opportunity on to one of my friends in the business who live in his area.  OK… Here’s the truth.  I live within an hour from him which puts me in is area considering the limited amount of skilled PDR technicians in the country.  I’m the best around here and I only live an hour from him.  My friends?  Paintless Dent Repair Techs have got to be the most cut throat bunch of people I’ve ever met.  I ain’t sending him shit.  Not to mention that if he is offering Paintless Dent Repair services within my coverage area, then he is a direct competitor of me. Why would I give him a competent dent guy.  In fact here’s a tip for those intelligent consumers who use the PDR process.  Why get PDR done at a car detailing shop? Why get it done by anyone other than an exclusive PDR tech or company?  Let’s explore this concept!  A dent tech gives them a wholesale price and in turn they jack it up for retail.  Then, a PDR  tech rushes to get to their next wholesale stop to make enough money to justify their day.  Here’s an idea that all of us consumers are familiar with.  Eliminate the middle man. Call an independent PDR company such as Knockout Dent Removal (973)294-8567.  Honestly, the price will still be retail but all the money is coming to me, the tech, working on your beloved car.  I will not rush and will remember what kind of cars I worked on at the end of the day with the hopes of gaining a lifelong loyal client.  Not all PDR techs are equal and the one that car wash finds will be the one who has nothing to do and no individual customers who love his talent.  Good luck car washer.  My advice to him would be to keep scrubbing them cars and leave the skilled work of Paintless Dent Repair to the people properly trained to do it .  There is plenty of work and money in washing a car.  Even though everyone is capable of doing it, no one wants too.

Acorns are the Theme for the Season

It seems as thou we have had some abnormally large acorns falling on to cars in New Jersey these days.  The damage inflicted by these acorns has been substantial recently.  Knockout Dent Removal has personally appraised cars with over 100 small dings on the hoods alone.  The roofs tend to have as many and more if those particular cars and trucks aren’t equipped with sunroofs. The deck lids will also be hit with many troublesome little dents.  Many times, one of the sides of the car has more dents than the other side which is  dependent on the owner’s parking tendencies under their trees.  This type of damage is very similar to hail damage visually.  Both hail and acorn damage are considered acts of God by insurance companies.  Hail and Acorn dents and dings are mostly covered by comprehensive insurance and shouldn’t affect your premiums.  You, the insured, are required to pay the deductible and are entitled to use your choice of Paintless Dent Repair providers to take the aforementioned dings out of your car.  My recommendation  would be to use the best PDR provider in the New Jersey…Knockout Dent Removal.  Their repair technician and blog writer is as remarkable talent.

Hail In New York City

There was flash hail amidst the treacherous thunderstorms that hammered parts of New York City on October, 11, 2010. I understand the hail was no larger than a quarter in the hardest hit area, which appears to be Brooklyn, NY. Luckily for automobile owners, the majority of the hail is too small and soft to inflict damages. However, if any damage has occurred, the size is well within the capabilities of repair by the Paintless Dent Repair (PDR) process. Most likely, conventional auto body repair is not the preferred repair technique as repainting your car is not necessary. A skilled Paintless Dent Repair technician is capable of massaging these dents out of your car while maintaining your current paint and keeping the value of your car intact.
